Given the amount of rain lately and the forecast for sleet on Friday, we’ve decided to abandon our original plan for a walk near Langwith, as the fields and tracks will be too wet and muddy.
We’ve decided to play it safe and walk around the lake at National Trust Clumber Park.
Entry is free for members. There is a £6 charge for non members.
The walk is around 4 to 5 miles on flat tracks with options for a shorter walk around the grounds.
The main downside is that there is no pub. Although the National Trust cafe offers meals and alcoholic drinks if desired.
When parking head for the accessible car park (see below) to avoid parking in a field. There’s usually a sign which points the way to accessible parking The walk will start from the accessible car park.
Please let us know if you are attending,  so we know who we’re waiting for.
Regards
Phil
